Why did this change?

Go Points is GTE’s bigger and better member loyalty experience launching in July 2017! You can earn points for a host of GTE Financial products and services, including Member Referrals. The more points you earn, the more opportunity to you have to get epic stuff. If a member is saving up for something big, like a computer or vacation, they may want to accumulate and save points to get them there versus just receiving cash. It’s all about options! By receiving 3,000 points with a Member Referral, you can still cash in your 3,000 points for $25 at any time. Or, you can wait and pool your points for an event or bigger ticket item if so desired. With Go Points, you choose! 

When is the change occurring?

The change will occur on July 18, 2017. If you complete a referral after that date, you will need to have a registered Go Points account to receive the 3,000 point incentive for your eligible Member Referral. 

Are there any changes to how I can qualify to get a member referral?

Not at all! Qualifications will be the same. Click here for full details on the Member Referral program and how to earn the incentive.

How will I know if I got the 3,000 points?

Members will receive an email notification that congratulates you on your 3,000 points when you have a qualifying referral. Please make sure your email on file is up-to-date. You can easily adjust your email in Online Banking. The email will walk you through signing up for a Go Points account if you don’t already have one. If you are already enrolled in Go Points, you will simply login to Online Banking and view the points in your Go Points account. 

Do I need to be in Go Points to get 3,000 points?

Yes. All you have to do is complete enrollment into Go Points within 30 days of receiving your Member Referral 3,000 points to ensure you receive your incentive. If the 30 days elapses, the points will be forfeit. 

It’s simple to sign up for Go Points and it’s absolutely free! Plus, you will get an email that notifies you that a Member Referral has been completed. Make sure the email address we have on file is up-to-date. The email will then walk you through how to activate your Go Points account to ensure you get full credit.  

Is Go Points free?

Absolutely! The Go Points program is 100% free to members. It’s our way of saying thank you for being a loyal member that uses our products and services. As a not-for-profit credit union, the more we earn, the more value we can return. 

How do I sign up for Go Points?

It’s a breeze! Simply login to Online Banking and click the Rewards section in the top navigation. Click on ‘Go Points’ and it will walk you through enrollment!

I see that I will need to be enrolled in Go Points within 30 days of earning my first referral. Will I lose my points if I don’t get into Go Points within 30 days?

Yes. Please make sure if you are not enrolled in Go Points and you receive 3,000 points for a Member Referral that you complete the Go Points registration in Online Banking. If you complete registration in Online Banking, you will not lose your points. Once you have registered, you will not have to go through a registration again just to claim your 3,000 points. 

Is there a limit to how many points I can earn?

Not at all! You can earn an unlimited 3,000 points for each eligible referral. Member Referrals is one of the best ways to really rack up the rewards.
