About GTE ReadyGTE Ready Logo

Thank you for connecting with us as we work together to recover from Hurricane Irma. Although for many in Tampa Bay, the storm was not as harsh as expected...for some, they were heavily impacted. The realities of a historic hurricane and coping with the financial, emotional and physical damage is very real and that includes not only our valued members but our employees as well. Thank you for supporting your credit union as we work to get back to business as usual! It's our sincere privilege to serve you; we apologize in advance for an inconvenience or additional wait times as we work hard to get back on track, full speed ahead!

All of our Community Financial Centers are now back to being open during regular business hours.

See below for helpful alternatives as we work to recover from Irma. Thank you for reading!

Post Storm Checklist:

  • Please make sure your contact information as well as login credentials are up-to-date as we will continue with important communication that impacts your credit union.
  • You may want to ensure your paychecks and Social Security checks are direct deposited – Your funds will be deposited even if you don’t have access to your employer.
  • You can set-up your account to receive your paycheck a little earlier with Early Paycheck.
  • If you need access to other funds, please look out for our special Emergency Loan, (which we offer during these times), as well as our Go To Credit Card. The Go To Credit Card was designed to be the lowest rate in Tampa Bay, specifically to help ensure our members who carry a balance, also save as much as possible when they can. Our Credit Cards can also be instant issued at any GTE location.
  • If you have a loan with GTE and are concerned about making the payment, please contact We Can Help as soon as possible. We are here to assist!
  • Fraud can also increase during a crisis. Please make sure you are signed up for transactional alerts; they can help you detect suspicious activity early. If you have concerns, simply contact the number on the back of your card for assistance.
  • Now may also be a good time to reset your debit PIN to help ensure the security of your account. You can easily do this over the phone using PIN Now at 1.866.985.2273.

If a storm prohibits access to any Community Financial Center:

  • We will do our best to update the homepage on www.gtefinancial.org.
  • You can also get the latest information on GTE’s Facebook page.
  • Try Call 24 Phone Banking early by dialing 888.871.2690, option 1. You will need your member number (which can be found in Online Banking) and your PIN (this is not your Debit PIN). If you cannot remember your PIN, you will need to call in to the number above and dial 0 to speak with a representative to reset.
  • Make sure you have logged into Online Banking and are on eStatements – This will give you electronic access to your GTE accounts and statements from virtually anywhere.
  • Download the GTE Mobile App to deposit checks, view balances, make a transfer and more.
  • Remember that GTE is part of the CO-OP Network and you have access to over 30,000 free ATMs throughout the United States and Canada. To find a CO-OP ATM nearest you, visit www.co-opnetwork.org. There’s also a text option, iPhone locator App, and GPS download available here.
  • GTE is also part of the Shared Branching Network, giving you access to other credit unions in the network. You can use another credit union, just like you would your GTE Community Financial Center, to make transactions. To find a location near you, visit www.co-opsharedbranch.org.
