How to Open an Early Checking account
If you are 15 or older and employed, you can apply for an Early Checking Account of your own! You will need:
  • Social Security Number
  • Government issued ID (passport, identification card, etc.)
  • Verification of Employment (pay stub)
  • Visit your nearest Community Financial Center and a Member Relationship Officer can help you open an account!

If you’re under 15, grab a parent to apply and follow the following steps:

  • If you are you are already a GTE member, please visit a Community Financial Center to open an additional account for the youth under 15 years old. (Click to view nearest locations.)
  • If you are NOT a GTE member, click here to become a member and select 'Open Primary Account'. Once you are a member, you can visit a location to add an Early Checking account.
  • Remember, the parent is not opening an additional account under their name, but instead opening up a new, separate Early Checking account for the minor, so they have their own membership at GTE.
