1. Contest Eligibility: The contest to win a $2,090 Graduation Shopping Spree is open to Florida residents with valid identification, 18 years or older; however, participants must qualify for the Cash Academy $50 Bonus Offer in order to enter. To qualify for the bonus, the primary account holder must log in or create an Everfi account using their first name, last name, email address, and member number at the time of course completion. The required online financial education course must be completed within 30 calendar days of opening a Go Student Checking Account. The $50 Bonus is only available for new Go Student Checking Accounts with a debit card. Primary account holder must be between the ages of 13 and 21, with no previous checking account history at GTE Financial. Members under the age of 18 are ineligible for the $2,090 prize but can qualify for the $50 Bonus Offer. A parent or legal guardian must be listed as a joint owner on a minor account, and the joint owner must be a GTE Financial member in good standing at the time of account opening. To be eligible, the primary account holder must have either a GTE Financial Early Saver Account or a Regular Share Account. Both the Go Student Checking Account and the savings account must remain open, active, funded with a minimum of $5, and in good standing at the time of payout. Bonus payout of $50 occurs within the first week of the month following the completion of all eligibility requirements into the Go Student Checking Account. If the account is closed before the payout date, the bonus will be forfeited. All eligibility requirements must be completed within 30 days of account opening, and the primary account holder must not have previously received a bonus from this promotion. This promotion is available to both new and existing GTE Financial members. If a new GTE Financial member, $5 member owner share is required.
2. Sponsor: The sponsor of this contest is GTE Financial, 711 E Henderson Ave, Tampa, FL 33602. All correspondence regarding the contest should be directed to the sponsor.
3. Agreement to Contest Rules: By entering the contest, participants agree to comply with and be bound by these official contest rules and all decisions made by the sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters related to the contest.
4. Timing: The contest begins on May 1, 2025, and ends on August 1, 2025. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered.
5. How to Enter: To enter, participants must complete and submit a webform using the provided URL, which will include acceptance of GTE Financial’s Talent Release Policy. A video submission is required as part of the application. Additional instructions on how to submit the video will be available on the contest page.
6. Winner Determination: One (1) winner will be selected based on creativity and video content and is at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. The winner will be notified within 14 business days after the contest closes.
7. Winner Requirements: The winner must establish membership with GTE Financial and open a GTE Savings account where the prize money will be deposited. No minimum requirement exists regarding how long the winner must retain the account.
8. Prize Transferability and Taxes: The prize is non-transferable. The winner is solely responsible for any taxes, fees, or other costs associated with accepting and using the prize.
9. Right of Sponsor to Cancel: The sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest at any time for any reason, including technical issues or unforeseen events.
10. GTE Privacy Policy: All participants agree to the sponsor’s privacy policy, which governs the collection and use of personal information. By entering, participants consent to the use of their personal information as outlined in the privacy policy. 11. Disputes: Except where prohibited, the entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida located in Tampa Florida; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, and in no event will entrant be permitted to obtain attorneys’ fees or other legal costs; and (3) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Florida without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Florida or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Florida.
12. Limitations of Liability: Limitations of Liability: Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrant, printing, typographical or other errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software, or lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the Submission process or the Contest; (4) other errors or problems of any kind relating to or in connection with the Promotion, whether printing, typographical, technical, computer, network, mechanical, human error or otherwise, which may occur in the administration of the Contest, the uploading or processing of entries, or the processing or judging of Submissions, the announcement of the prizes or in any promotion-related materials; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in this Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. Released Parties are not responsible for any unauthorized third-party use of any Submission.
By participating in the Contest, you agree to release and hold Released Parties harmless from all alleged, existing, or future actions, claims, and/or liabilities of whatever nature including, but not limited to, personal injury, bodily injury (including, without limitation, wrongful death and disability), property damage, and expense (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) and loss or damage of any other kind, relating to or arising from, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, (a) your participation, or inability to participate, in the Contest, or any Contest-related or prize-related activity; (b) the use by Released Parties (including modification, adaptation, and reproduction) of entry materials during or after the Contest; (c) the delivery, acceptance, possession, redemption, use, misuse, loss, or misdirection of the prize; and (d) any other claim or cause of action you may have against any Released Party.
