GTE Financial is committed to being the preferred employer in Tampa Bay. Founded in 1935 during the Great Depression, GTE Federal Credit Union, d/b/a GTE Financial is one of the largest locally owned and operated financial institutions in the area.

We are a not-for-profit financial cooperative. This means we make decisions for the benefit of all our customers, whom we call member-owners, because each one has a stake, or ownership, in our cooperative. Our employees are proud to be a part of a financial institution that doesn’t make a profit just to turn it over to anonymous shareholders. Medical

GTE Financial seeks to provide the best possible medical benefits at a reasonable cost. Employees are provided with two medical plan options that include prescription drug coverage and access to telemedicine. Preventative coverage is covered 100%.

Dental

Dental coverage is important to our employee’s health. GTE Financial offers employees two dental plan options. Preventative coverage is covered 100%

Vision

GTE Financial offers employees a vision plan that includes coverage for eye exams, eye glasses, contacts and discounts for Lasik.

Flexible Spending Accounts

GTE Financial offers employees the opportunity to participate in our Flexible Spending Account benefit. Employees may participate in the Health Care Spending Account and/or Dependent Care Spending Account.

Other Insurance

Meeting our employees needs when they need it most. GTE Financial provides Basic Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Short Term Disability, and Long Term Disability to all full and part employees at no cost. Other voluntary insurance options are available to employees.

Employee Assistance Program

GTE Financial provides employees with free access to our Employee Assistance Program 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

GTE Financial wants you to reach your financial goals! Enrollment is automatic, unless you decline participation, beginning 60 days from hire. GTE Financial provides a generous match, up to 5%,  for all full and part time employees. Employees also have free access to our Investment Services division to help with retirement planning.

GTE Financial is committed to support our employees on their wellness journey. How do we do this? We provide our employees with a variety of activities that have meaning and value to them on their wellness journey, including an on-site gym at HQ, monthly wellness allowance for all employees, and a ¼ mile outdoor fitness track at HQ.

GTE offers employees with competitive base and incentive pay. Employees may be eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and organizational performance.  Starting salary $16 per hour!

Our employees work hard.

GTE Financial provides full and part time employees PTO that is accrued each pay period and 10 paid holidays annually. GTE Financial also offers 4 weeks Parental Leave, one paid Volunteer Time Off day so our employees can support the charities and service organizations they are passionate about (even during business hours) and 4 hours Wellness Time Off so our employees can take care of their own personal preventative wellness exams.
