Security Guarantee

At GTE Financial, keeping the information you entrust to us private is our highest priority, which is why we employ the most sophisticated security measures available to safeguard your account and personal data from unapproved or fraudulent access.

Part of this process is to require multiple layers of authentication by members using our online services. These steps take a little extra time, but they provide critical protection against access to your data by unwanted parties.

Online Banking Security

GTE Financial uses an integrated security system to protect your data from exposure to unauthorized persons. Some of the components of this security system include:

  • A username and password (PIC) are required to access the system.
  • Login safeguards using second factor authentication with one time code to verify your identity.
  • Encryption scrambles your transmissions when crossing the Internet.
  • The Online Banking servers are behind firewalls.
  • After entering a password incorrectly three times, access to an account is blocked and your identity must be authenticated before access is restored.

Members are responsible for protecting the secrecy of their username and password in accordance with the terms contained in your new account disclosure. GTE Financial recommends that you not store secured pages in your cache or leave your computer unattended while you are logged in to Online Banking.

Bill Payment Protection

Bill Pay offers a Payment Guarantee. If we fail to process a payment in accordance with your scheduled Pay Date, we will make it right.

Privacy Policy

GTE Financial recognizes that our members expect the highest level of security, privacy and confidentiality when it comes to their personal information.  We are committed to maintaining that level.  It is our policy that all personal information our members supply to us will be considered confidential.

We have not, do not, and will not disclose any member’s personal information to any outside organization for their use.  We have not, do not, and will not sell our member’s information to any outside organization.  We do share information about our members with reputable credit bureaus, with other financial institutions while conducting bona fide corporate business, and with businesses we have chosen to partner with in order to offer a broader array of products and services.

NCUA Insurance

No matter which way the economy turns, deposit accounts at GTE Financial are protected by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, for up to $250,000. (Your coverage may be higher, depending on how you structure your accounts.)

The NCUSIF is overseen by the National Credit Union Administration, the U.S. Government agency that regulates the credit union industry.
