Chad Burney is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of GTE Financial. He is a highly accomplished, award-winning, information technology leader who has had repeated success leading and directing technology and business operations for over 16 years. He offers a unique blend of executive acumen, effective team building, and IT solutions development credited with strong ROI and operational improvement. He has built a responsive Information Technology department that consistently delivers results by aligning technology initiatives with business goals, substantial improvement to service delivery, standardization, and business/system performance.
Chad was also responsible for the implementation of a key virtualization project that gained national recognition after being selected for CIO Magazine’s top 100 CIO awards of 2009. He was also recognized as one of the Top 25 CTOs in 2010 by IDG’s InfoWorld which honors senior information technology executives nationwide who demonstrated leadership within their companies and in the greater IT community. Almost as significant as his industry awards, he is locally involved with the community through volunteerism at Tighten the Drag Foundation, where he is the Director of Partnerships and Board Member. He’s a leader with inventive ideas and a sincere desire to enhance the credit union industry through technology and goodwill. Chad holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Syracuse University, an M.S. in Management Science from the State University of New York, and an M.B.A in Technology Management from the State University of New York. In addition, he is a certified Master Oracle Database Administrator and Chief Executive (CCE).
