Eunice has over 20 years of successful experience working in community relations, event management, and investor relations on behalf of non-profits in the Tampa Bay area. She has participated in her local Kiwanis Club, is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class 35, and participates in Adelante!, her employer’s Hispanic & Latinx inclusion network. She has held leadership roles in higher-education, social service and healthcare organizations, focusing her efforts on relationship building on behalf of her community, in partnership with local philanthropists, corporate partners and foundations. Currently, Eunice serves as a member of the North America sales team for FIS, where she supports clients in maximizing their technological and innovation opportunities to serve their stakeholders. Prior to working at FIS, Eunice worked as the Chief Development Officer for Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida, where she led teams focused on revenue generation to support the university’s capital expansion needs, as well raising annual funds for student scholarships and endowments. Eunice’s career in community advancement began in 2002 when she launched her non-profit career with the American Cancer Society’s office in Tampa, Florida. Through her role with ACS, Eunice led teams to work in fundraising, and community advocacy to support research and local programs for cancer patients. Developing strong relationships is the foundation of her professional work.
Eunice is a proud member of the GTE family and is honored to serve as a Supervisory Committee member. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida, where she earned a B.A. in Sociology, and a graduate of Southeastern University where she earned a Master’s Degree in Human Services Administration. Eunice equally enjoys curling up with a good book or binge-watching Netflix. She is married to her high-school sweetheart, Jason, and they are proud parents to their teenage daughter, Jada. They share their home in Lakeland with their two Chorkies and believe that “Family time is the best time.” Her advice to young adults is to work hard, maximize your opportunities and when faced with a challenge, look to those around you for advice and support and never, ever give up on your dreams!
