Jasiel Legon joined GTE Financial as Senior Vice President, Chief Talent (HR) Officer in August 2016. With over 28 years of experience in financial services, Mr. Legon began his career as a teller in 1995 with Barnett Bank in Tampa, Florida. Throughout his career, he has held numerous leadership positions with some of the largest commercial banks in the United States.
Under Mr. Legon's leadership, GTE Financial has earned recognition as a Tampa Bay Times "Top Workplaces" and a Tampa Bay Business Journal "Best Places to Work." In 2022, GTE Financial proudly received the nationwide distinction as "America's Most Loved Workplaces" by Newsweek in collaboration with Best Practice Institute.
Mr. Legon holds professional HR certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR-HRCI) and a Senior Certified Professional (SCP-SHRM). He earned a Master of Arts degree in Human Performance Improvement/Organization Development from Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Business from Columbia College Chicago.
In addition to his role at GTE Financial, Mr. Legon serves on the Advisory Board of Directors of LifeLink of Florida and the Executive Committee of the Credit Union National Association Human Resources & Organization Development Council. Mr. Legon is proud to support various charitable and philanthropic organizations in the Tampa Bay area.
