Student Perk Disclosures

Cash Academy Disclosure
-To earn the $50 Cash Academy bonus, the primary account holder must open a new Go Student Checking Account and meet all eligibility requirements. The primary account holder can be an existing member but cannot have had a previous checking account history with GTE. For members under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must be listed as a joint owner, and the joint owner must be a GTE member in good standing at the time of account opening. The primary account holder must also have an Early Saver or a Regular Share Account. Annual Percentage Yield is 0.05% for balances up to $500. APY is accurate as of the last dividend declaration date. Rate may change after account opening. Fees may reduce earnings on the account. A $5 member owner share is required for new members. 52-Week Saving Challenge: Official Rules & Disclosure
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
2. Sponsor: GTE Federal Credit Union (dba GTE Financial): 711 E Henderson Ave, Tampa, FL 33602. Promotion applies to a sweepstakes of chance.
3. Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in this Promotion constitutes the entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and to the Sponsor's decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to this Promotion. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
4. Eligibility: Must be a GTE Financial member in good standing with a 52-Week Saving Challenge account; Member participants must complete all 52 deposits during the 2026 calendar year and must have a balance of at least $1,378 in their account on January 1, 2027, to be eligible to win the prize. Open only to legal residents of Florida who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of participation. This Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Participants agree that the Sponsor has the sole right to disqualify a participant at any time; decide all matters and disputes arising from this Promotion; and that all decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding.
5. Alternative Method of Entry: Mail a letter to ATTN: 52-Week Saving Challenge Marketing Department, P. O. Box 172599, Tampa, FL 33672-0599 with the request to be entered into the 52-Week Saving Challenge by November 31, 2026, to be eligible to win the prize. The letter must include the participant’s first and last name, date of birth, phone number and email address. A participant that uses the Alternative Method of Entry does not need to be a member at the time of entry or to win the prize if randomly selected as the winner. Prize fulfillment will be coordinated with the non-member winner if applicable.
6. Timing: The 52-Week Saving Challenge Promotion begins at 12:00am EST on January 1, 2026, and ends at 11:59pm EST on December 31, 2026. The Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for this Promotion.
7. Prize: Prize of $1,378 to be deposited into the primary savings account of the winner. The winner will be responsible for all applicable taxes including federal, state, and local taxes.
8. Winner Determination: A winner will be determined by random drawing of eligible participants on or about January 31, 2027, at GTE Financial’s Headquarters located at 711 East Henderson Blvd. Tampa, FL 33602. Participants do not need to be present to win. The random drawing will be conducted by a minimum of: (1) member of the marketing department, (1) member of the compliance department and will be recorded. Odds of winning are based on the number of eligible participants. The winner will be notified by telephone and/or email on or about January 31, 2027, based on the contact information of record or the information supplied via Alternative Method of Entry.
9. Winner Requirements: Each potential winner will be required to provide their full name and mailing address (no P.O. Box), verify date of birth, U.S. citizenship, email address and phone number as well as savings account and GTE Financial membership information for prize fulfillment. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to provide requested information or does not comply with these Official Rules, the potential winner forfeits the prize. If a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the prize may be awarded to a runner-up, if any, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Up to three (3) alternate winners may be determined, after which the applicable prize will remain un-awarded.
10. Winner Listing: For the name of the winner, write to GTE Financial, ATTN: 52-Week Saving Challenge Marketing Department, P. O. Box 172599, Tampa, FL 33672-0599. The letter must include the request for the winner and the physical address and email address of the sender.
11. General Conditions: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify this Promotion if any fraud, technical failures, human error, unforeseen circumstances that are outside of Sponsor’s control, or any other factor, impairs the integrity or proper functioning of this Promotion, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. If terminated, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, determine the winner from among all non-suspect, eligible participants deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify and void any individual/entry it finds to be disruptive, nefarious, tampering with the entry process, or the operation of this Promotion, or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules. Any attempt by a participant to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of this Promotion may be in violation of criminal and civil law. Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies (including attorneys’ fees) to the full extent of the law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
12. Limitations of Liability: Released Parties (Sponsor and related entities, affiliates, subsidiaries, and respective officers, directors, employees, agents, Internet service and access providers) are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by the participant, printing, typographical or other errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software, or lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions; (3) other errors or problems of any kind relating to or in connection with the Promotion, whether printing, typographical, technical, computer, network, mechanical, human error or otherwise, which may occur in the administration or processing of the Promotion, or the announcement of the prize in any promotion-related materials; (4) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from participation in this Promotion, or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
By participating in the Promotion, you agree to release and hold Released Parties harmless from all alleged, existing, or future actions, claims, and/or liabilities of whatever nature including, but not limited to, personal injury, bodily injury (including, without limitation, wrongful death and disability), property damage, and expense (including, without limitation, reasonable attorneys’ fees) and loss or damage of any other kind, relating to or arising from, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, (a) your participation, or inability to participate, in the Promotion, or any promotion-related or prize-related activity; (b) the use by Released Parties (including modification, adaptation, and reproduction) of entry materials during or after the Promotion; (c) the delivery, acceptance, possession, redemption, use, misuse, loss, or misdirection of the prize; and (d) any other claim or cause of action you may have against any Released Party. Released Parties are not responsible for any unauthorized third-party use.
13. Disputes: Except where prohibited, the entrant agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida located in Tampa Florida; (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this Promotion, and in no event will a participant be permitted to obtain attorneys’ fees or other legal costs; and (3) under no circumstances will participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and participant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Florida without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of Florida or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of Florida.
14. Release: By participating in this Promotion, the participant agrees to receive marketing from the Sponsor. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute and signify the winner’s agreement and consent that the Sponsor may use the winner’s name, city, state, likeness, and/or prize information in connection with marketing, advertising, or other purposes, worldwide, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, including the Internet, without limitation and without further payment, notification, permission or other consideration, except where prohibited by law. Without limiting the generality of these Official Rules, the winner shall irrevocably grant, transfer, convey and assign to Sponsor the entirety of his/her rights, and all renewals and extensions of copyright, and the right to secure copyright registrations thereto in perpetuity. The winner accepts and acknowledges that Sponsor shall not be obligated to use an entry and that the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, shall have the right to refrain from using an entry.
